John Yager
I started paintless dent removal as a body technician in 2003. I was a combination tech, so I did non-structural and structural repairs, and painted. Around the same time I learned PDR — and obviously that took over my life.
Shortly thereafter I ended up contracting out to the automotive manufacturing industry to assist in training and spill repair. For the last several years I’ve focused entirely on hail. I love it!
I had a little different upbringing in the industry since I never had a route. But I understand the challenges posed to route technicians when hail hits their town, and I help wherever help is needed. I love meeting new people and have a teamwork-oriented attitude — always trying to think big picture, especially when working with a local guy or a body shop owner.

PDR Person of the Year
At the Mobile Tech Expo — the industry's largest trade show — John was honored with the Tom Nations Memorial Award, naming him PDR Person of the Year.
The award is named for Tom Nations, an industry leader remembered for speaking honestly about the trade — pros and cons alike — and for the smile he brought to the people around him. Mobile Tech Expo gives it in his memory to someone who carries the PDR industry the same way.
